Tenant FAQs

Answers to your frequently asked questions

  • Can you hold a place before I apply?

No. You must submit your application in advance of viewing the property. Applications are addressed in the order received. No fee is required until you are the first in line, have seen the property and want to move forward. Once approved, you must be available to take possession right away.
  • Do I pay first month’s rent and last month’s rent with my security deposit?

We typically collect first month's rent (sometimes pro-rated) and security deposit at move in.
  • How old do you have to be to apply?

Anyone 18 or older must complete an application.
  • Is the deposit refundable?

Yes. We strongly encourage following the move out checklist.
  • You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?

Applications are available on the website (under resources) or you can stop by office and pick one up.
  • How do I pay rent?

You can set up bill pay through your bank, send by mail or drop in our secure rent box out in front of the office. Coming soon, we will be accepting payments on-line for a fee.
  • I want to get a pet. What do I do?

You must first contact our office to determine if your property is a “pet friendly” property. We will need to know the type of pet, approx weight and age. The owner will then be contacted for approval.
  • I want to move out, but my roommate wants to stay. What do I do?

A roommate addendum will be required and the remaining roommate must qualify financially.
  • My lease expiration is coming and I want to move out. What do I do?

You must give a written 30 day notice to vacate (signed by all tenants). Your 30 days begins when we receive the notice. Emailed notices are fine.
  • Who is responsible for paying for repairs & maintenance requests?

Unless the repair is tenant caused, we will take care of paying all maintenance costs.
